Sioux Falls is a city that thrives on community engagement and local support. From lively events to cherished local businesses, our city offers numerous opportunities to connect and celebrate together.
Hydrant Block Parties: Cooling Off with Neighbors
One of the highlights of our summer is the Hydrant Block Parties. These free events, organized by the City of Sioux Falls, invite residents of all ages to enjoy water fun, games, music, and community connections. It’s a fantastic way to beat the heat and meet your neighbors. Remember to wear water-friendly clothing, bring a towel, and apply sunscreen!
Supporting Local Businesses: The Heartbeat of Sioux Falls
Behind every local storefront in Sioux Falls is a story of hard work, creativity, and connection. When we choose to shop local, we’re not just buying a product; we’re investing in relationships and strengthening our community’s economy. For instance, Bagel Boy has been a part of Sioux Falls’ morning routine for over three decades, offering fresh bagels and familiar greetings that have turned regulars into family.
